Waves for Days

Unique Waves you can wear for daysssssssss. I love Hot Tools Deep Waver and my favorite favorite spray Sebastian Shine Define are my two secret weapons! Sebastian Shine Define is my absolute favorite and must have product for any hair style requiring a hot tool. I have done too many to count formal hair styles, and clients are always surprised with how long their curls last. These two products used together give you waves that will last for daysssss.  This is a regular look for me because I can take huge sections making it a much faster process. So I do less work to get stress free hair alllll week!  A No-brainer for me! I have tested this on myself, friends and clients. I typically can wear my hair down for the first 3 days with just a little dry shampoo at the roots. The rest of the days I get creative pinning one side behind my ear, half up half downs, ponytails, or adding a braid. Below I am sharing this secret method with you! Dare to Try Hair Brush Highlights?

Are Hair Brush Highlights the new trend for Summer 2016? To most educated hair stylist this is actually not a new technique, just like balayage but new to the general public. I feel more clients are becoming more open to new techniques and ideas due to platforms like pinterest and youtube. We are now realizing there is no clear cut right way to do things. Which is the beauty of the world to celebrate creativity and diversity!  Last week I had one of my fabulous clients came in with a video of a Turkish hairstylist Özden Kürtür and we used a paddle brush for her end lights came out GREAT! That inspired me to do a tutorial. In my opinion this is technique you can use for multiple different looks and application time is much faster than a typical foil or balayage. Don’t be afraid to give this technique a try for summer time!

FAIR- Try Sheer Pinks or Creamy Blush.

MEDIUM- Stick to Pale Taupes and Pinkish Beige

OLIVE- Light Peach Or Creamy Beige

DARK-  Rosy Beige and Cocoa ( Although Dark Skin tones can pretty much support alot of colors beautifully )

*Try bringing your foundation jar with you when picking out your nude nail polish. You can hold different nude colors over your foundation bottle to see what looks best.

*Bee one step ahead and try out Opi Matte Top Coat to change any Polish to a Matte finish.

What is Ecaille?

Ecaille is the french word for tortoise shell which is exactly what this hair color is trying to mimic. Like the ombre technique this trend allows you to keep the depth of your own hair color while enhancing it with blonde highlights. Deep rich brunettes can brighten their hair with tones of caramel and toffee. While blondes can go for a lighter honey or amber highlight. This is a bayalage technique which is painted on the hair. Which makes for easy grow out and maintenance. I personally love this look because I feel its just enhancing what you already have currently whether its your natural hair color or previously colored hair everyone can do have this look.

Beauty Report for Spring/Summer 2015!

Spring is Coming Spring is Coming! I can’t wait for the weather to break its been a COLD long winter. On the bright side we have some fun new beauty trends to get us excited and prepared to be showstopping this Spring/Summer. I’m excited because this year’s trends are easy for basically anyone to do with very little time and effort. The theme for this year is undone, barely there, au nautrual LITERALLY! You may even notice some models on the runway are walking with only blush, and pink or nude lips. So make sure you have regular facials booked this summer, and stay hydrated with Alkaline water and MSM. We also see some very bold pops of color for our lips and eyes. Which are exaggerated more when we keep the rest of our face simple. Perfect for the minimalist, the working mom on the go, the single ladies and students these trends will add more time back into all our lives. So lets get into it.

LIPS shades of Plum, Bold Red shades hinted with orange, or nude.

EYES Give your eyes wings! Heavy thick black winged eyeliner, or pop of color still keeping the line thick and bold.Eyeshadow will be shades of purple or brown for a more natural look.

HAIRRRRR! I love this years trend because I love messy hair ( very convenient when running around after two boys under 5). This gives everyone a break from all the damage that can be caused by hot tools used day in and day out. Give your hair some rest this summer with styles like air drying, braiding the hair while damp blow drying the braids to have a natural wave look. Models are literally walking with air dried hair and basically zero makeup on. Take it easy on yourself this summer and let your inner beauty shine. Low ponytails and undone buns. Braids are going no where they will be wispy low, free hanging or wrapped. Goal is to look like you did your hair yourself so we are not going for perfection.

NAILS Negative space manicures. Keeping your natural nail with half moons painted or the opposite.  Keeping them bare, nude, or with a very light color but manicured.

Theme is minimalist so with all the time your saving on hair you can stay on top of your facials and manicures this spring/summer and enjoy the sun 🙂
